Identify parachute shooters

One thing this game really needs ... a way to know who just shot your parachute.  

I really can't think of anything more lowlife than shooting pilots in the harness.  The bad thing is, you don't even get a message telling you the name of the dishonorable loser who shot you.  It's bad enough that this happens, but it shouldn't be annonymous.  The dirtbag who does it should have his name on a system message for all to see.

I've been around the net long enough to know that there is a fixed percentage of idiots on any online activity.  I now expect those idiots to reply, attempting to justify their action or just to get my goat.  I welcome such posts, so I will know who not to support in the arena EVER.

I view it as a quick trip back to the field. Just think if I float down it will be up to several minutes before I get a chance to replane. If I get shot in the silk then I go straight back to the tower and replane instantly. Nice. No muss no fuss.  Do I shoot chutes?  Not on purpose just for that reason!

I remember over at WB's it was generally accepted by most everybody that chute strafing was a bad/dishonorable thing to do. You will soon learn that its pretty common over here though. And the ones who do it are pretty darn proud of it, as you will soon see. It pisses you off when it happens, but it generally gives you something to do for the next little while, hunting the terd down.

I agree with hblair and Fishu chute shooters are pathetic people, even more pathetic is the fact that some of them actually take pride in their "accomplishment". Lack of education, culture, respect, and just plain common decency in kids and sadly many "adults" today is probably to blaim for this.

I shot Zigrat's chute today!  It was fun!  If I shoot a chute I will gladly take credit for it.  There should be a kill message and bonus points IMHO.  Feel free to kill my chute!

You sound like you're describing somebody horrible - a druggie, a murderer, or a homosexual or something.

We're talking about somebody that is flying a computer game, and points their plane at a chute and pulls a joystick trigger.  Whippidee doo.  It doesn't affect anyone's score, so the only REAL issue is the ego of the pilot who is straffed.  If somebody's ego is so sensitive that they get all worked up over a computer game they should seek immediate psycological help.  I know I do.
