FR limiter doesn't work. Setting it to 45 in either the in-game Vid options or the Vid setup on start has no effect. Same goes for the "60" limit.
Changing Vid Settings no longer makes the game go to a white screen (yay!) or hang until you smack the Windoze key to wake the game up. Changes take place immediately with nary a stutter.
CTD after 20 minutes of play. Reboting the game resulted in a good hour of play, and then a second CTD. No error was displayed at any time.
Many graphics bugs relating to the Z-buffer still aren't resolved. The texture under bases and strat objects still winks out or graduates into or out of view. Same goes for transtions, coastline, taxiways, and runways. These same textures can be seen through hills (especially field/strat base tex).
Frame rates were very nice: 32 down on the deck in a -9U, in the 70's over water, 52 over land above 2,500 AGL.
New texture loading technique does not eliminate the stutter when closing on an aircraft for the first time.
Lightly tapping the Hurricane I's left wing on a hangar (accident) resulted in an instant death. Ground speed was less than 5mph. Attempting to ditch a 109F4 with a dead engine resulted in an instant death on ground contact. This was N of V2 on the central island. Airspeed at touchdown was 105mph when the aircraft contacted one of the small "bumps" in the terrain, resulting in aircraft detonation. What happened to the more forgiving collision model?
M3 shocks allow the tracks and tires to move through the entire model when coming into contact with any terrain bump. Seeing them above the Ma Deuce turret was somewhat funny, but also a glaring error.
