Goodbye to Tony Randall...

84 with a very young wife and 2 young children.

Quote
Randall and Heather, who was 50 years his junior, had two children - Julia Laurette, seven, and Jefferson, five.

In a 1998 interview, he said he was somewhat perturbed by public debate over a man so old starting a family. "I don't understand why they think it's their business, but that's not to say that they're wrong," he said. "Maybe I'm an old fool, but I can't look at it that way. I'm having the most wonderful experience of my life."

Enjoyed his acting. Am of the opinion he was too old to start a family.

Now you've got two young kids that will grow up without their father. Saw a lot of this in my job. Guy gets remarried at 59 to younger woman that wants a kid. Guy dies when said kid is two years old. Good deal for the kid?

I'm not convinced, having barely survived raising two through their teen years myself. Takes a lot of patience and love to do that, I think.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!
