if I make a skin for the P47s, will I have to redo them when HTC updates the 3D model because they will be uncompatible?

Some of the models changed physically others didn't..

After a new shape, the way the textures 'fold' over the model might shift a little bit. Test it out with a low res version and find the locations of important edges. If an ideal model were to be created, those important edges might shift drastically depending on the amount of revision. I dunno... if you want to be cautious and save yourself the possible frustration, hold out for a few weeks
