I would like to request the addition of an option to make kill count that displays in the buffer when exiting plane after landing keep adding up until captured or killed

this is how real aces kept score and I find it interesting to do the same. when the ace died or was captured their kill count stopped.

so making it possible for us to simulate this would be fun.

I like to fly kill streaks and I also like to fly out of vulched fields.

too much of either gets dull but both combined are an interesting challenge.

I would like to beable to exit my plane when flying a kill streak instead of being forced to reload.

I would also be interested to see others and how their kill streaks go.

i think this would be very realistic kill count setup. since when pilot dies or captured is determining factor for when number of kills displayed when landing gets reset.

perhaps give player themselves the option to display sortie and plane type kill count when landing or total kills?

options are good and it would be interesting to see the players choices on which they would like to display when they land.

It puts to much emphasis on kill steaks. And that is not good game play.

What do you consider good game play HiTech?

sure, keep track of Kill streaks, good stat to have

No need to show on radio buffer tho,
unless of course its an Ego driven type thing, then i understand

Negatives can be,,,you or a squadie gets tied up riding a streak,
so they play game different, wont jabo, hesitant to dive into fights etc.

I like that idea, at least the option of using or not using it.

i asked for kill streaks about half a year ago.

no need to put it in the text buffer, but i would really like to see it in the .score sheet. i enjoy getting kill streaks and find it very challenging.

One thing that another game (Fighter Ace 2.xx) used to do was put stars for every 5 air-to-air victories beside your name icon in the game. That is until you got killed or crashed and then it would reset to 0 and you could start all over. To see a guy who would come flying into a fight with 2+ stars beside his name was pretty funny because everyone would stop chasing us little 1-5 kill guys and would break off and go after that person.

rgr ht.

could there be some statistic I could access to find this info though?

I dont have much interest in scoring highest hit% or kill/time or kill/sortie.

its the challenge I enjoy of precision SA and flying but it is difficult and its also fun to furball and up from vulched fields.

currently i can only do one kill streak attempt at the begining of each tour and keep track of it.

im bad memory and bad at math and only have ten fingers cant count or member much beyond that.

I want to see how many kills I get in a streak of sorties before dying.

I then want to up form a vulched field and die repeatedly.

for me K/D ratio is meaningless as well because I want to vary my gameplay style drastically.

I get an addrenealin rush every start of every tour when i get near about 40 kills. everything is ten times more exciting when your pushing the odds with a high kill count and you havent died yet that tour.

as fun as that is i want to also up an n1k2 froma vulched field and kill all the vulchers also.

but i want to record for my own amusement and be able to switch back and forth between dying every sortie on certain death missions and flying as if I had 1 life and the challenge and excitement of the stakes that get higher against you with every kill. every kill you make increases the chances the next will be your last.

how can I do this with current records system?
flying in this varried way makes k/d meaningless because to me k/d is irrelevant if upping froma vulched field where death before takeoff is certain the first few tries.

make high kill streaks hurt your rank for all i care if you want to discourage the masses from it.

I would gladly be ranked 3000 for all I care if i could have a streak counter.

make any streak above 10 drop your rank 1000 places back if you want to discourage the scoreplayers from it.

is there any solution that allows the few to enjoy this feature even if it destroys their rank and score? while the masses go on merrily with their 5/1 k/d and high rank stuff?

the score system is great and all but once youve score potatod enough times youve been there done that and know the real undefeatable score challenge...

the one no one can succeed at...

is gettin 352 kills.

all have tried and all have died except fishu in beta.

is there some philosophical psychologist scheme that would allow those seeking only kill streak challenge to do so and have their scores destroyed by it? discouraging the score masses from attempting such silly things?

call it burnout call it old player syndrom or whatever but this is an item i have missed since i started playing aces high 4 years ago.

Hiteck, go look at some of the top 5 fighter scores in the CT. Its not fair that one player can come into the CT, fly one sortie, land 8 kills and remain in the number one slot while other players fly 50 sorties. The scoring system needs changing or even completely deleted. Guys have figured out how to milk the scoring system just to keep thier names in lights. I would rather there not be a score at all. I know you are tired of hearing it but I liked the WarBirds scoring and medal system. It gave a player kill streaks and medals for achievments. It also showed who killed who and not how many vulches one landed :-)

Here is an example of a current stat:
Fighter Kills 11
Assists 3
Landed 2
Sorties 2
Bailed 0
Ditched 0
Captured 0
Death 0
Disco 0
Time hh:mm:ss 00:37:08
Fighter Rank 1

Fighter
Kills / Deaths + 1=11 (Rank# 1)
Kills / Sorties= 5.5 (Rank# 2)
Kills / Hour = 17.784 (Rank# 8)
Hit percentage= 27.828 % (Rank# 6)
Points= 2352.06526 (Rank# 59)

Basicly is a kill ratio of 11

Here is another one:
196 kills
106 sorties
96 deaths
Kill ratio of 1.9:1

Fighter
Kills / Deaths + 1= 1.84536 (Rank# 44)
Kills / Sorties = 1.68868 (Rank# 28)
Kills / Hour = 11.412 (Rank# 22)
Hit percentage = 8.659 % (Rank# 64)
Points = 9005.05671 (Rank#10)
"FURBALL RANK" Fighter Rank # 8

Scoring type should be selected by the player, tallied separately and not added as an average of all types of missions. This is unfair for dedicated bomber pilots that dont like to dogfight ect etc.

Kill/Death ratio should count more in "Tour Of Dutie"

Really needs to be set to 100 kills minimum to be on the list or something..

As far as gameplay, I think this would create a challenge for fighter pilots. Maybe everyone will be running away from fights to keep their streaks alive, but hell thats when my heart is pounding the most.. trying to survive.
