Got it thanks Skuzz.  Installed and although everything looks even better, and fps, improved about 15% Im still having graphics redraw problems around the ground facilities.

Have you made any changes to the detail slider in the video display setup?  Or any changes in the game's video configuration from stock?

How much memory does that card have?

Its a 128meg card, bout a year old now.  I have tried several different configurations of the click boxes and several different slider configs...all up, all down etc.  Sure made a difference with how well the game played but none of them seemed to have any effect at all on the graphics redrawing on objects very nearby.

Hmmm,..what OS you using Yeager?

I might have to defer this one to HT to see what he thinks.  The 9000 is a slower version of the 8500 card, whichis what I have in my system at the office and it does not display this issue.

That seems to be the common component Yeager.  Not sure what can be done yet.

Hmm...  $140 for new ati 9600/Nvidia 5700 class vid card, or $94.99 for winXP home upgrade edition?

Orig: In a perfect world, your comment sounds easy, but the world is not as black or white you make it sound.

I did buy full version of English WindowsXP on a recent trip to the U.S. but the cd was burned incorrectly. The local Microsoft subsidiary will not replace it because they refuse to support any version except the local language version (and they will not sell any version except the local language version) and Microsoft HQ will not replace it because they refuse to support anything for anyone not living in the U.S.
