Allied AAR
20 May 2004

Purpose was to destroy Axis fuel and radar facilities just west and east of the Rhine River.

Our B-17's got some good hits.. all and all 70% of the Fuel Depot was destroyed and 80% to 90% of the Radar Factory was destroyed.  We RTB'd 4 B-17's out of a total of 9.  Some B-17's got kills on 109's and a couple of 262's.

Escorts did a great job too..  They downed 4 109's and 1 262 with a loss of only 2 pilots.

I don't know how the Axis did or how many they had but it was a good time.  One of the better times I have had in the CT in a while.  Hope to do this again sometime... Honestly it took me like 10 minutes to throw this together...

My question is how did you get up to altitude and not generate a dar bar.  I thought you guys did a splendid job.

hmm maybe it was a CT setting, but the DARBAR showed nothing in the area until the radar @ 39 picked you all up.

Me and Najdorf did escort with VMF-312 and also 880 squadron while we escort the bomber.  I shot one down which JG-54 CO Jester () and decide to RTB before Me 262 raid crazy.

hey Col.Stream, you guys did good on your mission, well put together and everything, you guys actually caught our JG groups off guard a bit with the dar bar going nuts. I know i had fun, I had 7 kills in that first sortie, 5 bombers (3 to each formation im counting) and i got 2 fighters. lowtec was one of my victims, hehe and i forgot all the other names. But anyway, Good Job, I hope we can do something like this again sometime,
