Ok, so im looking at all these replies about "Gaming the game" and "Cheating". Seems like everyone is saying that rank means squat. So here is my idea. AH2 is coming out shortly, next few months or so:D . Why dont we have HTC just turn off the ranking system until AH1 closes its doors and just fly and have fun? I dont know if HTC would do this but it seems like a good way to end AH1.

This is just a thought off the top of my head so go easy on my fragile ears when ya troll my post:aok

LOL i think more what the real problem is, is that if we did it people wouldnt have anything to argue over. We all know people like to argue;)

I like all the stats but would be glad if all the rank and score part were turned off.

I agree. I like to be able to look at my own stats to see how much I'm regressing in skill level, but I think that having the rank system is causing too many problems and leads to problems like those in the "cheating" and "gaming" threads.

Um well Im not trying to knock your idea bud but isn't that pretty much what we have right now in AH2? I mean sure it is called "Beta" still but its one in the same as far as I am concerned.

It is funny tho. I find myself rtb'n back to base to land my kills or rearm blah blah blah... Then I realize its just faster to auger and get a new plane with a freash load of bullets

That's kind of on the "gamey" side but its sure faster to get you back in the fight;)

ranking system is complete garb for individuals.. i normaly rank about 100, but i know there are players much better than me finnishing lower and players not as good as me finishing higher.
what i think they should try is not having individual ranks on public display.only stats. and only show the squad ranks in full..

anyone caught cheating or abusing the system should have their whole squad disbanded and not be able to form or join a squad until next tour..

this way they cannot even look at their score and beam with pride for a whole month...lets see how these people who feed on this information like that.
