....trying to get back in here"

I am back and everyone is leaving?
Bummer!

Pongo, Zigrat, Warchild and others, I tried but I am weak and even though HTC is into late war and "what if" planes and vehicles I had to re-up.

The only reason though is lack of equal or better online options....YET.

HTC, in case you have not noticed, some of your supporters are heading out, ya might want to conduct a market survey to see why.

Or, after the Navy is launched, get back into WWII.

For the time being HTC is driving the bus.

WWII Online is still way off, WBIII is wherever it is but if either or both of them pan out HTC will lose some more of us and we will be gone for more than "two weeks."

I will squeak about stuff while I am around though, starting with the unfinished B17 engine fairings and the "old" art in some of the first aircraft and reiterate my total opposition to the "perk plane" concept.

I will also state my pleasure at not seeing an ostwind levelling every field I go to, please never use the beta map with all those vehicle fields on top of airfields again?

I hope to see most of the guys who have left find a reason to come back soon.

Good to have you back Sunchaser.   (Look out guys, this guy could get a gooney into a base defended by the entire airforce and manage to "shoot down" a couple of them too.   )

In response of membership being up that is good.  I also hate seeing good vet sim pilots (I SAID SIM PILOTS) leaving. I also wonder how many of the newbies are paying less than 29 dollars a month.  I am an open whiner about 'Quaking'and always will be. No matter how angry I get with the CHOG NIK wars
this game is stillthe best one out there.
I hope it turns back the way it was 6 months ago more of a SIM and not Quake.

Hm, well, for me it has become more gamey. It's still a sim, due to the cool flight models, but it *seems* to be more gamey.

Not much has changed, guess it's just my expectations.

People come, people go. Some have good reasons, some are volatile, but there will always be moving about in the numbers.

I waver from time-to-time myself. So? My life determines more how I feel about anything than what fm or vehicle is included.

To me, the real issues are:
• Am I having fun?
 • Can I connect reliably?
 • Do I feel comfortable within the community?
I have tuned this BBS out for a while because of all the negativity- amazingly, I don't have any great level of frustration with the community. One down, two to go!

Ahhhh yessssssssssss...

I remember Sunchaser and I facing off on opposite sides of a mountain range in early beta... him in a b26 or a goon; objective: to destroy and capture the fields on the other side... me in my pony; objective: find Sunchaser in those canyons and stop him.

We spent endless imersive hours in the cat and mouse game, air-chess in spades. Sun; you got ME addicted to AH as a strat platform.. and not a 'quake-birds' arcade. You set the standards by which I now fly AH; and I'm damn glad yer back amongst us... and we need many more like yah, too!

<S!> Sir; and welcome back.

Thanks all, good to be back.

Wow Hang, you remember that far back?

It was a squeak getting a goon over those mts, took forever.
I crashed a lot in cul de sacs too, trying to find a path low.

What really got me back in here was flying 50 miles at 25 feet knowing I was caught and actually making it in sometimes.

Ripsnort, I really suck in fighters but I was and am honored by your offer.

Rosco, your math is impeccable.

Sling, thanks but I got a thing for iron undies.

See you guys up, either 25k or 25 feet.
