Anybody own one of these beasts yet? If so, please let me know what your driving experience is like with this car. I'm trying to decide if I should go with the new Ford Mustang GT, the Pontiac GTO, the Chrysler 300C, or just wait it out. Thx.

i have a v6 mustang, but have never riden in a GT. i know that the GTO really sucks. And i really hate chrysler, so i'd go with the GT.

is there a new GTO out?

the old GTO's certainly didnt suck - you must consider what the purpose was - factory muscle. They accomplished that in spades.

Get the stang. Friend of my just got a new 04 GT. Stock it went 13.9 in the 1/4 mile. Two months later we added a Paxton Novi blower 9lbs of boost and it was deep into the 12s on street leagal slicks spining the crap out of first and 2nd! If he could get his 60 ft times better and do a little suspension tweaking you've got an 11' second car. I am not sure how much the whole kit from Paxton came too but it wasnt' much. What I needs badly tho is an intercooler. Thats his next mod on the list along with sub-frame conectors.

Over 32 grand for a new GTO.

I think Pontiac has lost sight of the purpose of the original GTO.

I sure wish I had my '65 Goat still.

You can prolly pick up a 2000-2001 Vette for the same price as a GTO or GT. Deals are out there for sure. Prolly find one with LOW miles as well and warrenty with it.

Edit..I should mention that I have had my Vette a couple years as well. 24k is a good deal for a 2000-2001 or so.
