...black old sun...
« on: October 07, 2000, 02:58:00 PM »
I read several books by the ww2 pilots last months. What I met there very regularly were "...we came from the sun", "...I got him by suprise, because he was blinded", "...we had big advantage, because we come from the sun", and so on. It will be nice to have it in Aces High. When enemy plane come from the sun, he shall not be seen, neither dot nor icon. Only when he is close (250-300ft) you can see him, still with no icon. It may add some depth to flying.

Not here to talk bout sun, but since it is a kinda in the same situation.... what about vapor trails? "They are like beaconing calls...". I think you get the point.

It would be nice, now that 30k 17 just wont buzz above me. Or that 28k lanc

Would it really be that hard HTC? When a plane gets above 20, kickin the fuel leak graphic

Could you imagine, now they cant sneak in

and how about con trails from high G manuvers from vorticies coming off the wing tip?

Nobody has added that little bit of realism yet

Hi

Great Idea for sun blinding and vapor trails!
My understanding of vapor trails is that their alt varies due to climatic conditions, is this right? Anyway I think a good alt for them would be above 25K or 27K, That feels right with the accounts Ive read.

thanks GRUNHERZ
