Udie... gawddam me as a capitalist runnin dawg pony boy all ta hell and back twice in one breath..

... but LORD that was fun. The only dissapointment was we only got two flights in... and yah whupped my bellybutton both times. I wuz sittin here flexin my knuckles; all toejams and grins thinkin "ok; best three outta five..." when yah had ta go. *sniff*

Fer those of you that were wonderin; Udie's 190 vs my pittiful pony in a navy duel; first fight a 5k guns cold merge; the next wuz a 7.5k merge. We were both doin things that the mfg would void the warranty over.. repeatedly.

The first fight was brief.. we were low and he niked my elevator on second merge snapshot... didn't take long fer me to impact the hill on a pull over.

The second was a bit more interesting; I did a slick climbing spiral outta the first merge; and dallied a hair long at the top. Still; I managed to get saddled right up and on the second merge I was deep in his six. That 190 may not turn fer YOU folks.. it dances just fine in his hands... using a defensive spiral and the 190's superb roll rate; he snatched back the angles and tore me a new brown eye with a crossing snapshot that STILL has me shakin my head. Amazing...

Thru the course of this fight we went from 500ias to less than 200 and back again several times.. not sure of the duration; was probvably mighty quick but there was a LOT happening there.... instinct; evaluate; read E; pull; roll; pull; *grunt*grunt*grunt* pull; shoot; pull; *grunt*grunt*grunt* roll into him; get the nose up... GAWDAMN!

Salute Udie, you are without doubt the best 190 driver I ever ran across.. Hristo; he makes you look like a panzy.   That was fun as all hell.... and I want MORE!!!

C'mere; dammit; I ain't done witcha yet!

triple post... sheesh.

Hey SAW.. whatcha flyin these days?????

Wanna play???   What brought this on was a 'no tag FFA' over in the TA. I tagged Udies's 109 and and he announced "you gonna die fer that". We excused ourselves from the furball and went at each other... And die I did.

That "no tag FFA" is a blast; btw; pure furballin mayhem with no ID's..

Hang (come get u some!)

I wish to heck I had filmed it.  I was in "THE ZONE" last night BIGTIME.  I hope i'm still there too    I was lucky enough to have many good fights last night.  For some reason everything was just "ON" for me. I didn't have to pay attention to anything except what I was shooting at.

 Hang,

That 2nd fight was the best.  At the second merge I watched you go vertical again, pulled back on my stick to match the move and all I get is the stall horn drone.  I was sweating bad. All I could do is roll over and pick up some E, knowing it would give you my 6.

Fortunately for me,  I think in that position it's better to have the bogie on your 6 like you were on mine.  He's thinking AHHHHHH there's my shot, and doesn't realy think about how fast he's accellerating.  I dive a bit, then reverse my barrel roll and chop throttle. Wooosh the con overshoots

BTW Hang, that last snapshot probobly would have been my only chance to get you in the 2nd fight.  Your E retention would have gotten the better of me in a couple of more turns.

This also gave me an idea for an "Event" that I think I may propose. This said "Event" would give a1 a realy good reason for existing too    more later.......

Oh yah.. that second fight had some posiblites.. hehehe.. I KNEW yah was in the bag; was even watchin fer the reverse roll and throttle chop once yah committed to the diving spiral defense; and I had that defensive spiral wrapped up tight; boyo, meat wuz on da table! Down we went... both of us wavin hankies on the cutbacks, canopy to canopy..

I let yah out a bit; started get a hair of sepration; started gettin the lead.. I even squirted yah a bit when you started the reverse. I coulda pushed that burst home; prolly chopped yer fargin tail off but it woulda cost me a large overshoot; squirted me out in front; no place to be if the shot ain't sure..

Instead, I broke the lead track and pulled up sharply and rolled back hard up and over to stay behind u and kill the overshoot... choosin to ride the tiger insteada killin it first crack. *sigh*  Now all I had ta do was get yah to cross over me one more time canopy to canopy to put yah on the down side again and ya was post tosties...

Sadly fer me, yah skurvy bum; yah saw that that was gonna get yah killed fer sure and yah did one them 'horrido' FW snaprolls and smashed me with that snap-shot in the middle of it, crossin over my tail at point blank range... *WHAM*WHAM*WHAM* ....fargin Kannonen shells ripped me up. Yah bum.

Next time..... I won't miss the first shot.   (hang eyeballs cat.. cat eyeballs hang) We hope.

This fun idea... now you gonna make me wait on THAT too? Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggh!!!!!

Just have to say, after reading the after-action report I am quite blown away at the instinctive reactions of BOTH pilots in situations I've often been in (and died in)because I had to THINK about what to do.
These are the FEW that make the rest of us go..."where'd WHO go!!?!!"

Actually EADG has done the same to me MANY times!
