Memorial Day Drop??

Dear All:

After seeing the memorial drop for FoxxBatt a while back, I wondered if any combo of Bish/Nits/Rooks would be interested in a massive Memorial Day goon drop?

I'd say about 9 pm EST we'd take off at centrally located bases with drop time to be determined on transit time for the different countries but probably at 9:20 - 9:30.  Drop Zone again to be determined by location of front lines.

Of course, we'll need some senior members of each country to ensure no attacking of the memorial flight.  I'd say some fighters might be welcome (loops and acrobatic manuvers to heighten the festivities might be cool), but I'd like the majority of people to be in goons.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I think this would most likely crash the server....

Nice to think of those souls that were at normandy on D-day,  but maybe there is something better that could be done.

Has the server ever been crashed by mass goonage or is this a sort of "urban myth" of AH?  Just wondering... :)  :)

From what I was told. Foxxbats memorial drop Was HUGE. The server seemed ok, I was on for it but I missed it. I would have loved to have been there and participated in it to show my respect. :(  They were dropping 5 minutes after I logged in.

I would love to do something like this and think its a great way (our own little Aces High way) to show respect to our Fallen Troops and to those whome have faught for our rights to freedom.

Mass Troop Drops in the past have cause the server to have serious issues.    It has something to with the server having to track the position of each trooper if I remember right.

If it doesnt crash, it causes huge lag probs.

I would much prefer a mass flight of planes...be is the same type or all diferent.....

There is nothing COOler than a massive goon drop.

I remember once a few years back the dreded PiZZa map was reset by a goonie bird mission. I think if memory serves me correct, there was a total of 50 goons and over 20 La7s to escort of which all dropped over the same feild at once. Oh yes, those were the days when the Bish would get together and  run some HUGE missions.

Talk about a cool thing to see. Not to mention the fact that they made excellent bait:D

Im in for this Memorial Flight. Keep us up to date righty.
