Invisible Killer

Someone was flying around the other night, I was near him, he kept asking me if I had seen any cons near him.  He was taking Pings for 10 or 15 minutes, I believe he was shot down 3 times, and there were no cons near him.  There were none in the Sector.

I have taken pings 20 or 30 seconds later, but not 10 or 20 minutes later.

What is starting to burn my ass, is that I had bounced about three cons the other day, I saw good hits (sprites) and as I was climbing away they would shoot me down from 800 or 900 yards away.

Hmmm. No reply from the bosses yet.

Maybe the invisible killers are Pyro and Hitech jumping in from their "eye in the sky" observer mode?

If not, how much extra per month to get an arena without "invisible planes"?

To those so affected:

• Were you flying at 8,000 feet or lower?
• Were you in enemy territory?  For example, Rooks may have taken 3 Knight fields, but the fact remains that the surrounding area is still Knight's.[/list=a]
  If you can answer yes to these, then it may have been possible that you flew over an enemy complex or factory site, which normally possess ack.  All it takes is a few hits and you die with nothing more than a 'You have been killed' message...

While this can happen as you describe I am pretty sure that it is something else.  

For one thing the tracers come from dead six, not from below.  At least they did in case.  I was not near any ack at the time.

I can answer yes to these but no, I was no where near a factory.  Like I said, I saw who killed me in the text buffer and asked them what happened.  That was when they said I was taking off from field 1 instead of the field 13 I was at.  This happened 3 times in a row....and right after take off too.

Its a bug.
