« on: June 04, 2004, 10:46:33 AM »
I did an AP photo search,

I found 1 (one ) thats right 1 photo that came up under
"soilder helps Iraqi"

but I found 638 for "abu Ghraib"

Your right, MT (I single you out because you have asked for proof of bias in the past) and the rest of you, there is no media bias:aok

How did you get access to AP archives? Looks like you need a password.

the only way photos get to the internet is if they are first taken.

I guess the press just dosen't take photos of the good that the US is doing might be a better explaination for why you can't find any photos.

you're 'evidence' doesn't prove anything.

you're argument that "the only way photos get to the internet is if they are first taken.", could easily be countered with- "for photos to be taken, a photo opportunity needs to occur"

but here's some news for you, the media is biased.  not pro right or left, but pro-money.

their mission is to sell newspapers and commercial time.  they will play whatever grabs your attention, and keep hammering it in until you get bored and stop watching.

if people would still tune in and watch, they'd still be going over and over the Lewinsky thing for a couple hours a day.  a lot of other business happened in Washington that year, but that 1 BJ got way more coverage for the amount of time that went into the act.

it's not the mission of the news organizations to give you a honest well rounded image of whats going on in the world.

honesty and fairness are boring and don't get ratings.
