I think the 'small test' phase of AH2 is over, and the transition of players has begun. Today for the first time I've seen over 100 players populate the arena, and basically the MA game play had begun.
Don't get me wrong - I'm not one of those people who complain about MA being hordes and furballs and fuel porkings and blahblahblah - but as the numbers grew and MA style gameplay surfaced in the Beta Arena, things are starting to get out of hand.
.....
For one thing, the precision drop sites are totally killing the gameplay. People hit every shots of rockets and bombs fired. This isn't much a problem for fighters since the fuel strat changed, but the bombers are totally dweebey now.
A while back, some people said that the calibration site had to go away.
Well guys, this is what it's like.
I've been jumping sides to help even out player numbers. Which ever country I landed, the HQ dar was destroyed/damaged. The frontline fields were down in FHs and BHs, and heaps of bombers that fly in an uneven, messy, distracted formation, diving or climbing, are landing bombs with precision.
To make matters worse, the Me262s and Me163s are disabled. The arena, for all three countries, was a barrage of constant 3-plane Ar234 formations commencing bombruns at 500mph in a dive, knocking out the HQ again and again and again.
The Ar234 is basically a risk-free, untouchable precision bomber now. The helplessness to stop them is incredibly frustrating for all playes of all countries - the dar is down, perk system is off, precision bomb sight is on... they're basically the B-2 Stealth bombers in this arena, and the chances of the rest of the players stopping these who abuse the current conditions, is about as high as an Iraqi soldier shooting a B-2 down with a pistol.
The current conditions have shown what the MA would be like without any perks, and no need to caluibrate bombs. It's was an interesting experiment for all, but I wish it would end now.
