A esoteric request <G>
« on: June 05, 2004, 03:08:07 PM »
I'v held off on this on becuse I didn't want to joggle your elbow during the relese..... Beta testing of AHII, but as the relese will happen soon,I have a question .  I have finshed my Simpit for AH an am now interested in refining it.  An have the following questions.

   1. Sound, I would like to put sound in to the simpit by placing speakers in side in various locations and breaking out the different sounds to the appropiate speakers, that is engine noises from the front Gear closing sounds from the low sides ect and comms in the headset....

2.movement, Now that I have somthing to sit in I want to enhance the feel of flight, accomplishing this by causing the Simpit to move as I play.  I am not looking for Huge and violent movement, just a move of  4 to 10 inches in responce to the apprent movment of the AC on screen, I feel that with a small movment clue the mind will supply the rest .  What I want to know is can the positional information for the Ac I am flying be "broken out" to a control interface?  Or am I better off hijacking the JS inputs to control the "moblizer platform".
Note the actual moblizer is relitivly straight forward, I found an outfit in Canada called Phidgits, that supplys a programable USB connected Board that had digital in and outputs as well as analog inputs, and will use said board to control the actuators on the platform it's self.

I am bringing the simpit to the Con in september, and any help would be greatly appreciated.
