Honoring President Reagan - Flags

If you can't lower your flag to Half-Mast to honor President Reagan just attach a Black ribbon of some kind to the pole.  It will serve the same purpose.

So by all means, lack the courage to do what you think would be right, in order to please other people and enhance their opinion of you. Seems like a fabulous way to go through life.

Nice how people in your neck of the woods are more tolerant than they are here. Or at least that's what you'd like us to believe. Your statement says otherwise.

yes, we have the freedom to say what we want here about anything...My views of Bush and his regime are shared by the wast majority over here. I think you are doing all the foaming here :D

If i fly the norwegian flag at half post here, my entire neighbourhood would call or come over to find out who died.

lol....i really dont give a crap about what people around me think, i was pointing out the fact. As far as i know, my neighbours also liked Reagan too. Me not wanting to fly the flag has to do with the reason for doing it here...when someone in your family dies or on special occations. No goverment building or private homes fly the flag on half post for this kind of occation.

Trying to make this into something it is not is just lame Lazs, if you have seen my other posts regarding Reagan you would have known that.

In the event of the death a present or former official of the government of any State, territory, or possession of the United States, the Governor of that state, territory, or possession may proclaim that the National flag shall be flown at half-staff." The code also includes other related details including the specific length of time during which the flag should be displayed at half-staff, in the event of the death of a "principal figure"
"(e.g., 30 days for the death of a sitting or former President, 10 days for the death of a sitting Vice-President,etc.).

Nilsen, I feel your pain, as I don't own a flag.  So I am flying my wiener at half mast.

Whoa!  Don't jump down Nilsen's throat.    I'm just saying that my flag is mounted on the side of my house and I can't 'fly' it any other way.

I'm going to keep the black ribbon on till after the funeral.
