VH spawns
« on: June 06, 2004, 05:14:22 AM »
There is no randomness in locaton or direction when spawning directly to the VH.  I ran into a situation where a player was camped in the hanger directly behind the spawn hanger.  I litteraly gave away 20 kills testing if there was a viable defense aginst this.  No tank could swing the turrent fast enough, and I repeatedly shot the panzer with the osti 37mm with no effect.

For the most part in AH1 campers could be defeated depending on the terrain at the spawn point, and the spread of the spawn locations would give a player a chance, but this situation would be possible at any vehicle field.  Even if there happened to be air support, the camper is effectivly invisible from the air.

It's bad enough that a gv gets within range of a base.

Its worse when he destroys the VH

Its even worse when he camps it.

The nmy VH is not a bar, either destroy it or move on.

Lol

Just pointing it out.  Its historicly something that warrants a correction:

The first flakpanzer in an online flight sim was installed to take care of buffs camping the airfields.  The first tank was later installed to take care of the flakpanzers that drove 1/2 hour to an enemy field to camp the airfield.

Leave it the way it is, and I will eventually go on a camping trip. :)
