We have travelled abroad frequently but not since our eldest daughter was 14 years of age. She is now 24 and decided to take a european trip on her own. With apprehension and misgiving I consented and granted my permission (helped out with some of her expenses). She visited Madrid where we have friends and relatives and Sevilla where her Grandmother lives currently.

I am pleased to report that I have a true American for a daughter, Thank God.

She can now appreciate the superiority of our system and our ways. I'm glad she took this trip as an adult, those two weeks in southern europe have had an impact on her world view that no amount of my explaining could have ever accomplished.

I think that I will send my other children on their own to europe as they reach 25 years of age.

What a great place for young Americans to learn what not to be like. It really wouldn't have mattered much where she visited as you guys are pretty much the same politically speaking.

Ya know Storch, you might want to look into the possibility that she went over there knowing your political leanings and had a blast, partied, went to the nude beaches everyday, did drugs, drank like a fish, slept with dozens of hairy Italian men, some hairy French women, and then came home to tell you how much she hated it over there knowing you'd foot the bill to send her back . Most daughters are VERY resourceful.

Thats what i would have done, minus the italian men. Everybody knows the spainarids are the real lovers.

sacrilige *makes the sign of the cross with his fingers* she wouldn't do it with hairy men or girls

Now smooth hairless ones might be a possibilty. In any case they would most likely have been Spanish. She doesn't drink or do drugs here so need to concern myself with that there aside from that euro drugs are clearly inferior to our drugs. Besides I should have said that she went with her husband, a man completely unworthy of a fine woman such as my daughter

. What would she have done with him during all this partying?

I don't believe a word of it. I think you invented the daughter story just so you could foam at the mouth. You need to see a doctor about this obsessive pattern in your posts. It is not normal.

She did have a nice time especially in Sevilla. Next year they are going to Belgium where we have a cousin that lives in Bruges. She came down to Madrid and they spent some time together. She convinced them for a return trip.
