38 shed wings?
« on: March 08, 2000, 12:33:00 AM »
howdy noticed a now feature tonight (new to me at least) had a dude bait me into a dive he cut throttle and i went over 650 and lost wings ect to death... well my question is is there any evidence that any 38 ever shed its wings ? i dont think i ever read in any of the storys about a wing failier on a 38.

now they had compression probs true but lose the wacky wings or at least put a variable in their failer like a  random number between 550 and 750 add a little spice but better model the compression right.

Any plane can lose wings if they fall fast enough, pull excessive G in pullout, etc. Some just have higher limits than others.

Besides, isn't 650 fast enough? We don't have transonic fighters here... the F86 only had a top speed of around 695 mph!
