NVidia geforce4 440 Go 64MB in laptop
« on: June 08, 2004, 01:19:03 PM »
Hi,

I have a pretty high end laptop, Toshiba Satellite 5105-S701 1.8G Pent IV 512MB RAM with NVidia geforce4 440 Go 64MB Video card.

When I log on to AHII I get a message "your video drivers do not support ZBuffer Biasing.  Please upddate your drivers or you will see some flickering".  When I push ok plane cache updates and then AHII shuts down.

I'vve updated all that is available with no luck.  Is there anything else I can try to make it work?

Thanks in advance,

I don't know what it is but it seems to be the geforce 440 go which is one of the few you can't get a driver update from nvidia.

I bought this dang laptop with gaming specificaly in mind and thats why I got the one with 64MB video card which at the time a year and a half ago was one of the only ones available in laptop.  I spent $2,200 on it and now I can't even play AHII.

I was hoping it is just a setting or something simple like that.  Hopefully, it can be figured out so that when I go out of town, which is often, I will still be able to play.
