Hockey is football on ice. I think the problem is the rinks are too small, make them all olympic size. The skill players have no room to move and the neutral trap is ruining the game. When the skill players are allowed to dictate the game(and not the goons), the game will be better.

Damn straight. The Daytona 500 should be just one lap, baseball a single inning, and football a single quarter.

Hockey is soccer on ice.

Hockey is soccer on ice

Only a person who has never played the game could come up with something like this.  Ergo, since he speaks from a position of ignorance his opinion cannot be considered to have any merit and must therefore be recognized for what it is: the drivel of a fool.

I used to play roller hockey. The puck is lighter. Still, freakin' hard tho.

Nothing the matter with the sport of hockey. Just the NHLs version of it sucks.
Its not footbal..but its not soccer either.
They cant seem to decide if its the WWf or not though.

Someone mentioned that hockey has no cheerleaders.

Well that's true but having grown up a rink rat, I can tell you that I was more than compensated by not having cheerleaders practicing nearby by the figureskaters.  Never met a fat figure skater, and those girls were always quite limber, almost always dated the hockey players.

Americans are a funny lot.  If they cannot dominate a sport (despite millions of people who play the game as kids) they then brand it a girley sport.

The rest of the world considers the real football as the best game there is....the only ones who consider it girley are Americans.

But I suppose not much more can be expected of a country that calls the Superbowl winners "World Champions."  lol
