Hi gents and ladies!

Welcome to today's snapshot "Milk Run".  Those of you who participated in the recent Ruhr scenario, will feel right at home!

The event starts in the Special Events Arena at 3pm eastern time, thats 21 central european.

Here's the MOTD:

Allied: Knight  - 60% of participants.
Axis:   Rook   - 40% of participants.


Background:

Summer 1943

The United States Eighth Army Air Force is
gaining confidence. Its complement is now up
to 13 Heavy Bomber Groups and 3 Fighter Groups.
Its commander, General Ira Eaker, is beginning
to weld it into a fighting force capable of
wresting control of the airspace over occupied
Europe. Today, the assigned target is a factory
in Northen France at Lille, making aircraft
parts for Messerschmitt. An easy mission...

But the pilots of the Jagdflieger are equally
determined to send these upstart Yankees home
with their tails between their legs...





Allied: Knight - 60% of participants

40% B-17G formations from A146
60% P-47D11 from A141

Orders:
Attack one of the factories in the
9.8 cross / 9.9 cross area. The allied
CO must privately inform the CM what
their target is before the frame start.

Restrictions:
The Allied must attack their target before T+40.
The B17s must attack between 10 - 20K altitude.
The P47s may not carry ordnance and must stay
within dot range of the bombers until enemy fighters
are spotted.



Axis: Rook - 40% of participants

50% 109 G-6 from A82
50% 190 A-5 from A82

Orders:
Intercept Allied carrier strike aircraft
inbound to northern France!

Restrictions:
The LW planes may not cross the coastline.


Arena settings:

Event start, game time: 12:00
Time multiplier: 1.0
Fuel Multiplier: 1.25
Rebuild time multiplier: 5.0
Icons: Short, 3k.
Radar: No radar. Base flash 10 miles.
Killshooter: Off.
Friendly collisions: Off.
Kill messages: Off.
Mannable guns are disabled.


Victory Conditions:

Score multiplier based on mission result:
Landed: 100%
Ditched: 50%
Bailed: 25%
Captured: 10%
Killed: 10%

Allied:
20 points for each bomber that hits the target.
Fighter kills: 10 points each.

Axis:
Bomber kills:  20 points each.
Fighter kills: 10 points each.

OMG!

With the perspective in that picture, it looks like the B-17s are dropping gigantic torpedos!
