Fighter Ace II open beta ... wow, its bad

For those who complained about ANYTHING within AH open beta should download the 16 Meg (that's right, 16 as opposed to AH's 4) ugly as sin game (not sim mind you).

There is nothing about this game that could even mildly threaten AH (except for those who hate realism).  FA2 is so ugly and sickly bad that I cannot believe some people actually thought it might give anyone (even AW3) competition.  Try it for yourself but I really dislike it.

Sorry. Hate slamming a new sim especially in late beta but I was hoping this would actually spur some competition and raise online sim expectaions.

What are you talking about? Microsoft said FA2 was the BEST WWII sim anywhere. I read it on their website with my own eyes!

Seriously, FA2 is absolute junk, but there is one semi-fun thing you can do with it if you're unfortunate enough to have downloaded it. Pick a ground attack offline training mission, load bombs, then when your friendlies appear on the runway drop right into them. Before the bombs hit, pull up and switch to the F9 view, and watch your plane disintegrate when the bombs hit the friendlies and killshooter does you in.

Good for a laugh or two before deleting FA2 forever...

He he, the panels are beyond description and the AC art is rough (very rough).

But the FM are not bad at all in full realism, very good actually and quite comparable to WB or AH. The big bombers are excellent. The terrain is also quite good.

I think it will get it's piece of the cake.

D/L it. Plane art sucks, terrain Ok. I like the roads RR tracks.

Planes seem to perform like the other sims. Just doesnt have that "feel"

Wow you guys aren't kidding. I tried it did a loop right after takeoff. I really dont think that is possible.

Well one thing about FA/FA2 is that most wb's/ah pilots can go get a 60 kill streak no problem for an ok price...i fly once and awhile when i get bored.

Just tried it. I gotta agree. Microsoft is obviously NOT serious about creating an online flight simulator. Guess that's OK for folks who go in knowing they're getting the flight sim equivalent to Pac Man.

Hey, remember who ya'll are talkin about--these are the same peeps that have taken nearly 10 yrs to get their OS right--but you bought it even so, didn't you?

I found it no thanks to you lot     and i for one certainly won't be flying it. Is there something wrong with my computer or does the plane art (cockpits) have about 12 pixels?
Don't bash it too bad though as it obviously has it's target audienece which just isn't the same as AH players in general.
