I'd like to  add that anyone considering on joining Funked's squad is in for  a treat, if you want to  be lead by one of the best, this is your squadron.  I highly endorse it! (Like my word means anything!), seriously, want  to learn to  be a lean, mean fighting machine?? His squad is it, let  go of those apron strings and become a man!

Go Funked! (but don't get too many aces signed please, I LIKE my 190 intact in one piece when I RTB!)

Funked, did you post this in Squadrons BBS  too?  You should, might  find a few in there as  well.

hehehe hey rip - just FYI
WB members of 303 and 315 will be flying in AH with 308

I didn't want to move 303/315 to AH because of our Mac brethen, so when Funked had this brilliant idea ...   now we can fly anywhere

This reminds  me of an old  hunting story.  The same group of guys would meet out at  my property in Montana for Elk hunting each fall, all of us coming from different parts of the country, all of us with different P/U trucks.  There was one friend that had a 2-wheel drive truck, and loaded  with gear.  He "Had" to have his gear, even though it  was  excessive  gear.  So, we  would  compromise  by only going to certain areas that his truck could 'get' to, i.e. he had 2-wheel drive, we had 4-wheel drive.  After a certain number of years, the area we hunted became quite 'popular'  since it  was  accessible to any vehicle.  We decided to go up higher in the mountains (I belong to a property owners association where  we have hunting/fishing rights to 10,000 acres).

Well, what  were  we  going to  do  with "Charlie" and all his gear, and his 2-wheel drive  truck that wouldn't make it to the 'better' happy hunting grounds?  We gave him a choice...cut down on the gear  you bring, and put it in our trucks, or, get a 4-wheel drive truck so you can enjoy the good hunting.

At first, he was alittle disturbed, but then he decided to get  a 4-wheel  drive so he could continue his hunting with  our group.

Moral of the story, don't stay behind with  people  that don't have  the equipment to keep up with the group, they will change if  they have the desire to...and they won't get pissy about it.

Makes  me  think of the Mac guys.  They get so defensive  when something isn't written for a Mac..hey, here's a clue...BUY A PC AND ENJOY THE HUNTING!

Well Ripsnort - i guess we have a different approach to this problem

Guys of Northolt Wing are one big group of friends. We keep in touch outside of the sim as well as within. I'm not going to tell 30% of the group to go scratch just because they don't have 2000$ to blow on a PC

Besides - S3's and SL's are still in WB - and those events are what makes any sim worthwhile.

So with 308 - we can stay together and fly in AH if we like to, without alieneting our Mac friends.

I understand FD-ski, glad  you guys worked something out to keep 'together',  that's the main thing, not losing touch.  G'luck!

Rock:  Ya see that Ensign, lighting the cigarette?
Powell: Yes Rock.
Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

As Fd-Ski sorta explained, we never leave anyone behind.  That applies to computer formats as well as the arena.  If a squaddie is in trouble we will save him or die trying.  Sometimes bad for the stats, but it's the proper way to do things!

Here's a shot of 308's first kill.

Hehehe Maniac, I guess the photo is a little decieving.  I was actually about 30 degrees off his nose, hitting him on his wings and tail.  Wasn't a true HO because he never got his guns on me.

MUAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA!
