i perdict that numbers will not be the same in the ma for ah2 for some time until ht pick's up more customers capible of either upgrading or like myself, be happy with what you have.(refer to my help post)

tech help thread

could be a good thing though for everyone who hates the hord's but for the others who need sufficiant numbers to get missions together it might be a little more difficult than it already is.

ohh well if i can't make it any better than i'll look else where for entertainment that my coputer's spec's can run more smoothly:)

only one complaint still, in even the smallest dogfights it is really hard to keep my eyes on my prey with the freeze stop freeze stop crap going on, preety frustraing when your on someones 6 ant 400 for 15-20 seconds and all of a sudden he zaps away because of the freeze, hope ht improves this because i know its not my computer. i have pleanty of video memory, ram and a good proccesor, and im not the only one with this reoccuring problem???;)

Just left another game..well..sorta sim/game..never really met either catagory..and for the first year we had to upgrade...I mean like most guys probably spend 1000+ dollars..I know I did, just to be able to play it..and I was still lacking...but I paid it because I wanted to play.

It all comes down to how much you love thegame you play, and hanging with your buds. If it requires a few hundred bucks to meet the requirements...its money well spent.

68Devil,
I have an ATI card and the same damn screen freezes.  HTC really better fix this bug; the freezes totally ruin the pleasure of flying in AH2.

Just curious...what are you system / video card specs?

What texture memory are you guys running?

ATI 9000 pro 128 mb here running cat 4.5's

default was 512, pull textures down to 256 and everythings smooth as silk for me.

ps, anything you can do to clean up, speed up, your hard drive may help.

I always get a kick out of guys who make posts like this.  Just out of curiosity, what have you done to make sure it isnt something on your end causing the screen freezes?  I have had similar problems to what you are describing only mine would freeze when I pulled the trigger.  This was fixed simply by turning the sound acceleration down a notch.  Have you even tried any other configurations to see if maybe its something on your end?

fyi, Mr. Smartarnold:

i've tested - online and/or offline - 95% of the patches that were released since day 1.

and, of course, i've played with the settings.    I've raised my frame rates from the 40's to - in some cases - the 100's by making changes both in Windows and in the game.  But, the screen freezes still persist.

Thanks, Ghosth.  :)  I'll try switching back down to 256.  And, I'm using Omega Drivers (http://www.omegacorner.com).  I saw an improvement with them.  The CAT drivers were fine too, though.

I may reformat the hard drive when I find 4 hours to reload everything.  :D
