Just what I think of the people on this board, and the Media ,who have now started to throw 'mud' at President Reagan.

Is it wrong to critisise dead presidents now? He didn't get critisised much when he was sick. Which would you prefer, critisism when hes handycapped or critisism when he is dead? Or never discuss past presidents?

Not so much wrong, but the timing.

Doing it in the week of his death or month of his death just seems wrong.

Sort of like getting married the week of your dead husbands/wife's funeral....There's a lack of respect there that is extremely pointed and tasteless.

You can be critical of past Presidents all you want.  The burial ceremony isnt the place to do it, however.  Perhaps the reaction on this board would have been different had you waited a few weeks... but then who am I kidding, a dead President is an opportunity your type just cant pass up, right?

I mean - look at how you honor Mr. Tillman with an avatar.  Nothing says "Im a f*cktard" like someone using an avatar of a dead American soldier in jest.

Keep barking.

Gosh, I dunno, there are a lot of non-refundable deposits that need to be made to support a wedding, some on the order of tens of thousands of dollars.  Also, let's say that you have 50-100 relatives coming into town via airplane.  How do you manage the cost to them of cancelling?

Finally, funerals and weddings are both supposed to be celebrations of life.  At a funeral, you acknowledge, remember, and celebrate through your presence and respect the many things the person accomplished and the lives they touched.  How does a wedding invalidate that?

I understand the sentiment of your post, but I think you just made an overgeneralization without thinking everything through, and one constant of the O'Club is that we all make sure everyone notices their mistakes. :D

I must have missed the post where I critisised Reagan.
Please point me to it.

I myself respect the man.

here is the last thing I typed about him.
"Mulroony was much more like a more competent and elequent Bush Jr then anywhere in the same leage as Reagan or Thatcher.
Say what you want about Reagan. He did what he thought was in the interests of his country not his own.

Mullroony was an unabashed thief.

You must have a get out of jail free card from Skuzzy to get away with such reckless insults.
Child, all I am doing is honoring Pat Tillman with my avatar. If you cant choke that down maybe you should seek therapy.

The only reason Im not banned for calling you a f*cktard is because you are a f*cktard.

Its a term of endearment, of course.
