mmm not so sure about that laz....Vietnamese kicked the French, Japanese, Cambodians, Chinese and your lot out over the years....one place I'd never want to invade would be Vietnam.

America didn't lose the war on the ground in Vietnam, they lost that war back home, something that might happen again.

actually the war at home was lost because the war dragged out due to politicians getting in the way creating additonal bodybags

I don't think anyone is counting (officially). The U.S. certainly won't be. It's bad for PR.

any body count is bad.....the US is realizing this vrs. nam when body counts were all that mattered.


seriously nobody can tell me that there isnt an anti iraq campaing goin on right now that isnt trying to undermine US efforts.  half of the news broadcasts I see are saying that we are making progress while the other half is saying they are pissed off that ther......sorry gotta end this wife wants to head to the bedroom....will continue tomorrow  ;)

even the north vietnamese leadership admitted that they were close to losing support of their own people... if we would have invaded the North it would have been all over for em... the French and japs really didn't have the kind of presence we had.  you really can't compare.

we woulda won... we coulda pulled out.. and then... who knows?  Maybe like iraq there are some people who are meant to be misserable sheep.  maybe not... one can allways hope.

Or, we could have supported Ho Chi Min when he asked for our help, and promoted democracy later. Maybe we woulda coulda saved 50 thousand lives.
