Flying a formation of B17s. Lost the outboard half of the starboard wing, two engines, oil on the third, and just flew along like nothing was wrong.
When I switched from the DEAD -17 to the one described above my sound went away. Gunner positions saw the whole starboard wing, but the two rook fighters who engaged me saw it missing, as did I from F3 or pilot seats. When a 109 came up to put me out of my amusement I could hear HIS iarcraft, but not my own. I could also hear the sound of my guns firing as I missed him badly.
