Yes they could. The large 4 engine bombers and some 2 engine bombers had the ability to jettison fuel.

Some are: Halifax, Lancaster, Wellington, Stirling

I am talking about fighters....

Theres no need in AH for bombers to dump fuel as they never fly at 100%.

Well I guess you should have been more specific and said fighters for the original question was, "did WW2 planes had the abillty to dump fuel while in flight?"

Even fighters had the ability to dump fuel, but that fuel would have been in 'drop tanks'.;)

Read the first post 90% of the planes in AH are fighters. Of the bombers that could dump fuel there is but 1.

Since he is making a feature request the quick and easy answer is "no they didnt"...

Most planes have some kind of fuel bleed valve so during your walk around inspection you can check for water and bleed it out. It is usually located at the bottom of the fuel tank.

So try crawling out onto the wing and hang down while holding onto your cannon barrel and check.:)  If there is one please let the rest of us know:aok

I know..I'm a dweeb:rolleyes:

Some planes had a pipe or hose in the cockpit for the pilot so that he could.. ummh...  jettison his liquid.

This would REALLY be nice feature in AH ;)

Then we'd have 262's, 51's, la7's flying by jettisoning yellow streams on unsuspecting victimsl. We cant have this sort of thing, it just snt sanitary. Flying planes aiming your piss instead of your guns, I can see it now.
