Anyone here use Yahoo mail?

I just logged into my account and saw what I thought was an advertisement. Clicked continue because I can't pay anything for mail, let alone anything else...

Just before the page disappeared, I read that it was a free update I was getting.

So now instead of 10MB mail storage, I have 100MB webstorage and can send 10MB (yeah, thats not gonna happen) attachments for no extra charge.

See, good things do happen to awful people!

It may be a responce to the pending release of Gmail, that will give you a gig of space free.

Prolly put hotmail out of buisnes.

Ah, never heard of Gmail.

I would never be able to fill up a gig of email space. The only reason I got close to 10MBs was when I didn't delete my emails for three months.

I fill the hotmail ten megs fast and I was dumb enough to pay 20 bucks a year for it.

Budy got me into the Gmail beta, it is run by Google.

It has some really cool features.

I went from 50-plus % full to 3% full in Yahoo Mail.  Most excellent!

I get about 200 junk emails a day in my yahoo account. Their anti-spam filter is a joke. I would have stopped using it except I've had the address for several years. The increase in space only means I will have 10 times the number of emails to delete when I occasionally get around to cleaning it out.

I've bought a lot of stuff over the Internet over the years. I always use that address when I need to get an email but suspect I will get spammed.

I always use my hotmail account when anybody asks for my address unless its family or work related.  I have had to change addresses too many times in the past because of businesses propagating my address to every ******* on the planet.  Well....them and the porn sites.

Same here.

HERE is a story I just saw regarding the YahooMail/Gmail war.

swapping porno probably...

as for G-mail a lot of people wont completly switch for a while to it, i proabably never will...i've used my hotmail address for alltogether to long to easily change to a different service (despite there attempts at making hotmail more and more user unfreindly)...that and i use msn messenger...not that i could use 1 gigabyte of space in e-mail anyway, i only receive maybe 2 usefull emails a month

Like I said, I use it for collecting spam. At 200+ messages per day I can collect about 6,000 per month. I'm not exagerating this. Pain the bellybutton to clean out when I need to get that one email from a company I'd rather not give my primary address to.

the thing is those 2 usefull emails are basicly  the only emails i get, 5 junk messages a week when its bad (i never use the block button on hotmail, it seems to make the problem worse, instead i just delete it and after about 2 weeks they go away)
