Training Classes?
« on: June 16, 2004, 09:11:21 PM »
I recieved an e-mail (how I dont know, never registered with them) from Total Sims and it got me thinking:  Would training classes offered now and then be a good idea after all the hype from AHII has settled down?  Here's a copy of the original e-mail:

June 16, Wednesday at 8 pm Eastern the Warbirds Online Academy will commence its summer classes. Meet Online in the Training Arena in Warbirds 2004.

This is a great way for New Players and Old ones alike to learn in a friendly, helpful environment!

We will begin with the Basic Course. This course is aimed at providing the Warbirds player with the basic skills necessary to succeed in air operations.

After week 10 those interested in specializing in Level Bombing or Ground Attack will be offered the opportunity to attend the Bomber Course.

After completion of the Basic Course students will be eligible to attend other specialty courses as well.

Some examples of planned courses are as follows:

Wing tactics 2 vs 1
Wing tactics 2 v 2
Large unit tactics 4 v 4 and larger
Flight Leadership course (Designed for those required to lead 3 or more fighters or bombers)
Escort tactics
Navigation

The Bomber course will contain many of the above topics with emphasis on the level bombing and ground attack mission.

Just a thought...

Wouldn't work here, trainers are spread far and thin.

Actually trainers are working on something along those general lines.

Still too soon to give out details.

Just curious, but how does one become a trainer?

AH also carries a LOT of AW old sticks who were trainers in AW. Some who probably wouldn't mind training again just to see more ACM and SA in AH. ;-)

Art Law

If ArtLaw stays around for AHII there will always be a good trainer.   He has trained SO many people to play the game...AH needs more like him.

Squads tend to do training so I would advise newbs to try to find a squad that will accept them.
