Good for you! Buying something with money you WORKED for makes it so much sweeter.. It goes hand-in-hand with appreciation for the things you "posess" and is something you won't soon forget. You will ALWAYS remember (believe it or not it WILL be a good memory) it.

APPRECIATE... sounds like your dad has his stuff together.

jetb123--

I think I saw you say somewhere that you're 16.  That would make you born around 1988.

Here's a bit of trivia which you may find interesting, since you seem to like AH:

The first online multiplayer combat flightsim--Airwarrior--came out in 1987.  So these games have been around as long as you have  :)   Several of the makers of AH were playing AW even before you had started grade school!

Sorry for digging up the old thread (and hijacking it at that) but I didn't see the need to start a new one.

Yeah, I tried work for 6 years.  That was before I figured out I could just go to college for 4 years, and then grad school for 5 years.  Not sure what to do after this year though.

hehe.  It really is good to see somebody working for money.  As long as its not me.

50 dollars a day? Thats a crime. Please email me, I have the lawsuit paperwork ready for your pops and his complete disregard for child labor laws. In addition he's paying you under the table so we can barter with that and avoid the trial while threatening a tax evasion scandal. Ok 50 dollar's a day is still over mininum wage, but Im sure we can at least settle out of court for a new computer! Of course I will have to confiscate..err take my share of the loot...err I will have to be paid for my services so Ill just take that motherboard and processor.

Jet,

Well Done!
Work is hard, but it does have its benifits.
