So, Just What Is With the "Base under attack" Thing?
« on: June 19, 2004, 02:45:05 PM »
(btw, I did a search of all forums and there were no posts with 'base under attack'  in the title.)

I never understood this thing, and, after the other night, I'm even more confused:

I was waiting for a friend to come on line, so I went to a remote vehicle base, isolated on an island in the farthest corner of the map so that I could enjoy the absolute quiet.  Left my speakers on so I'd hear my friend when he came online.

After some minutes, I hear the 'base under attack' thing, and come back to the computer to see what was up.  Nothing. No radar contacts, no dar bars, no bases even flashing within 60 miles.  Five or ten minutes later I hear it again -right, nothing. Five or ten minutes later -again.  etc., etc.

What's up?

(and, not to steal my own thread, why is no one mentioning all the crashes to desktop and warps since the AH2 arena is now populated?)

If any of your countries bases are being attacked, the warning voice will announce "Base under attack".

There is an area for AH2 Bugs, if you check there, I am sure you will find posts about DTDs.
