The snapview padlock has a tendancy to "jam" when losing contact; which can a bit annoying.
The "pan" padlock is just wierd; it follows the target ( a bit; see under) but from strange cockpit point of views; as if you're playing with mouse view and seat position at the same time.
Both types of padlock have a bit of an erratic lock on, I think the pan type is much the more unpredictable of the two; is there actually a maximum distance?
