Knight, just an FYI,

The guy who makes this, Hitech, did in AW what you are talking about for here.

He then went on to write warbirds, ran into some rough business times/decisions.

Sold that, hand picked a very small tight crew, and proceeded to make AH.

You think he would make it so you could just go edit graphics files to cheat?

Accept the fact that your flying a wwii Flight simulator, that there are no hud's,
fire & forget missles, or see through cockpits. Stick around anyway, you might enjoy it.

Hmm, guess what...there are NO "cockpit files"? The cockpit you see is actually part of the 3D model for the plane you are flying.

Well, I am sure some players have hacked/edited the ah2 files so that they have a "no cockpit" view. It's just a shame that the rest of us have to play with it. bah!

I usually play all types of games with a full screen view for visibility. I feel like a racehorse being blinded by some damned piece of leather wrapped half way around my eyes.

You can't hack/change the cockpit view. As someone said its part of the whole 3d model. Than means you would have to change the whole model of the plane. Which would be hard to do and make it stable at the same time. It is a simulation.
