Ahaaa !! A defector... LOL

Welcome Dow, trial by fire huh?
You got'm wevoe's dude. (<~~spelling?lol)
I like ya already. Wait, no I don't. I changed my mind, yeah I do.
Couple of quick & dirty tips you MAY already
have figured out. Just in case I'll shoot anyway....PULL !!
1st.- Use your windows sound recoder to load up the stall.wav that's in your ACES HIGH sound folder. Lower the volume a bit, OR a lot, depending on your preference. Save it and then you won't be pestered by that annoying sound of a wooddonut trying to get thru the fuselage. Once you learn to ease your favorite bird around in manuevers at the edge of the stall, this will be less of an issue. But as you are learning, may as well turn it down for now, it's much more tolerable at a lower volume. We will probably get individual sound sliders for volume control of ALL sounds later..but for now, I found this a good quick fix.
B.- Configure your views the way that feels most intuitive to you. Every single Hat view can be adjusted to your liking and saved. HTC has created a groundbreaking view system with tremendous customization options. But if you don't have all your views set up so they are second nature to ya, you dead.
Someone will gladly come along and make their projectiles intimate with your controls surfaces, or perform inflight ventilation on your cockpit, while you are are fiddle farting around trying to have a look see. You can't stay aware of your situation if ya can't see. So set'm up and use'm every 15secs or so to scan the skies.
G. -Take some extra gas (drop tanks) if you are venturing out further than a short hop from base, cuz these Birds Drink fuel...(now say it with me now)...PRO-fusely.

Seventh - A click or two of flaps for landings and easy does it on the stick on the last few feet til touchdown.
Well, that's it off the top of my noodle...I'm sure the other guys will add anything I missed.
See ya up there Dow..
Arc T out.
