We already have unrealistically poor visibility due to the lack of depth perception and the limitations of computer graphics and monitors.  I don't really want my view shaking all over the place to make it even harder to see anything or draw a bead on a target.

I've thought about this idea before, about the radio chatter, but never officially posted it.

We don't need sound effects in VOX.. We need VOX that works and doesn't keep dropping out on us right as we get into a big furball.

yeah really.

VOX can already be a real pain in the arse at time. We dont really need to go making it more complicated.

Idea II:  Vibrations.  EAW has got them and Il2 has got em...why not AHII.  I would think that these WWII birds would vibrate a hell of a lot (I think this has been talked about).

Technically this is probably a bad idea, GREAT idea, but technically bad.

There are too many variances from sound card to sound card, to start playing with distortions, stretching, or manipulations and could maybe cause delay while it processes, and unfavorable conditions for some even though favorable to others. Not only that but the only people who know what it sounds like are the listeners I would imagine. How would the play adjust it if it were to be out of control on their cards?

Just a dose of reality, I dunno if I'm right or wrong.

I have a terrible grudge against EAW because of its cockpit shake feature.

Im sure some of you are real pilots, and if you have ever flown in an aircraft from this day and age, you know that the vibration is minimal, even with turbulence (i speak of light aircraft i.e. Cessna 172).

Ive flown in a Stearman and an AT-6, and i pictured being able to get a marvelous sight picture on that little Piper in front of me if they had guns. A little dimented, I know... :)

But when I play EAW, which a few have suggested looking at to model cockpit shake, I can barely function. Not only is the turbulence ridiculous in the game, but its downright annoying. Its impossible to line up on a bomber sometimes without having to kick the rudder all the way to one side.

Leave the cockpit shake out of AH, but as far as the VOX goes, Animal has a point. But i think realistically, you could change the beep sound to a little bit of radio fuzz. That would make a huge difference and I would personally love it.

Not asking it to get more complicated, friend Morph. Merely asking for a cosmetic feature..!

I do like the VOX idear, but you must remember that
a large precent of the playergroup is forign, and making the
VOX less clear ( what WW2 Aircraftradio with mask and throat
microphones really is ) is not good for us. It's hard enough
sometimes even as it is now to understand some guys.
Good proposal however, and if implimented, the filter
should at least be selectable.

Obviously the main input/output should remain the way it is.

I'm referring to the pre-transmission "beep!" sound.

I was wondering what everyone would think of a channel you could tune to that would act as sort of a news radio/propaganda channel.

Lets say you tune to that channel, a voice is telling you that the war is going hard for the knits/rooks/bish and that currently XX bases are being attacked. Some sort of "go get-em" type messages.

I got the idea from hearing the propaganda in BFV on certain levels. I'm sure there are plenty of other things that need to come first but just thought I'd throw it out there.

You know how much fun that takes out of our wild imaginations? :D

Thx HT. Looking forward to see it implemented :)
