You whiners about the range icon suck.  I mean if you were as bad as you think you are you wouldnt need the range finder anyway.  You would just blow me away from 20ft like everybody does now instead of sniping me from impossibly long ranges. I dont want to hear any crap about the ballistics of the guns are how you do it, if that was the case every Tom, Dick, and Harry would get them a .50 and be shooting at Camp Perry. I for one was extremely tired of getting wasted by some guy shooting his laser cannons from 1.6 k away.  I think AHII rocks.:aok

I'm glad you like it, but you don't need to flamebait to express an opinion.

Otoole - agreed. The whole issue of the ranging is being overplayed by the whining AH2 quitters. I think we need a forum dedicated to those who want to whine about AH2 and are quitting. And a sub-forum about hardware requirements - the stuff the hardware whiners should have been reading a year ago.

Welp, my issue with the range icons has nothing to do with making long range shots. It has to do with the amount of time I now have to spend watching planes that I am NOT engaged with to determine what they are doing. Generally speakin, it has always been my contention that if you are dumb enough to get shot at 1k...it ain't my problem.

BTW....bite me, dweeb :)

hehe

I've gotten snapped in a couple of ho's now because I thought they were going the other way. It makes it a little harder for sure, I liked it a bit better the other way, but not for gunnery reasons.

As far as making shots, I generally try to get within about 300 to 400 to take one anyway so no difference there. If somebody is extending and outrunning me I might snap off a few just to see if I get lucky, but I certainly never had any kind of dependable long range skill.
