The Fog of War - Eleven Lessons from the life of Robert S. McNamara yesterday, and there was an interesting discussion about lesson 5: PROPORTIONALITY SHOULD BE A GUIDELINE IN WAR, where McNamara talked about Curtis LeMay, the atomic bombs, and the fire bombing of Tokyo (and Japan).
