Skuzzy...your thoughts please

Hi Skuzzy and all the other AH guru's :)

I have a quick question....

Will there ever be a patch that allows us to run the game in 64 bit?  (currently 128 is the lowest as far as i know)

I ask because my computer can barely run AH2.
When I'm in 800x600 res I can get playable fram rates but of course, its like flying near-sighted.

I for one think I could run the game at a higher screen res if i could turn the bit level down to 64.

If it would screw up the source code or affect the game in some negative way, then of course i wouldn't be interested.  But if it's possible or if it is in the works, do tell oh wise one!

Ps.... thanks for all of your help Skuzzy...

your performance hint screen has made it so I can at least play at 800x600 on my laptop!

I'm afraid blackfalcon is right...

because i have a laptop, i don't really have the option of upgrading my video card.

Laptop mother-boards are not very universial, so videocards and the like are designed specifically for each model.

I've heard that I may be able to order a 32mb card from dell spare parts, but thats the best i can get a hold of and even then it's going to cost me about $80.

I'd rather put that $80 toward a new machine so in the mean time i'm hoping a patch may come down the line...

but i'm not holding my breath :D
