Managed to grab this shot during a quick visit to Duxford on a 'non-flying' day !!

Looked in fantastic condition, and really flown well - sounded fantastic !!

I believe it is a Royal R/C kit, but there are many nice fiberglass kits that it could be.

It looks like a turbine because I see no cheater holes or cylinder heads poking out through the nacelles, although those could be in a hidden location. I do not know if model turbines would create a noticeable heat disturbance given that plane's design, bypass ratios common for such designs, and the environmental conditions (background clouds).

There are a few giveaways, but I don't want to list them because maybe other people don't know what I saw that let me know it was "subscale" and it's fun to let them guess

Here it is - in dispersal.

As you suggested, it is a turbine - very smooth, good flight characteristics and no apparent vices - mind you, that's probably down to the pilot more than anything else !!!

For the size of this thing, the weathering/panel lines/ rivets job sucks.

WOW! In CA I saw a popular model builder flying a ME-110 about 2/3 the size of that jet model. Incredible!

cant comment on the weathering, but the nose panel really is like that. Rivets and panel lines elsewhere are near invisible on a real 262, hes done a good job.

that picture was taken at duxford, which is near cambridge. If you are interested in R/C flying there is a big event at cosford.
