Author Topic: Very Fuzzy monitor (Read 190 times)

I just updated my drivers (why I didnt long, long ago dont ask me) and now everything on the monitor is so fuzzy I can barely make out letters. I dont think there is a connection between the drivers and the monitor, but I just noticed it happening after I did update them. My monitor is about 7 years old and I'm wondering if its finally dying on me.

Any help much appreciated!

Have you messed around with the buttons on the monitor (if there are any). It might be dieing on you, I'd doubt it, but who knows. Try also making sure the cables are securely inserted. 7 years old, may it is time to start looking into a new monitor hehe. Can't imagine you'd get very good frame rates with a monitor that old. Then agian I've heard amazing stories in the past. GL bud!

Well... thing is, if screen resolution is set at 800x600, it works like a dream. Now, thats a little difficult to work with because everything gets so big. Now, about the frame rates... I can get up to 75, cause the max the monitor will allow is 75, but with my crappy video card (see sig) i could barely pull off 30 in AH1.

I am getting a new monitor soon, so I'm really not very concerned.

Dont tell me you can actually run AH2 *at all* with that 810e onboard chipset!?!? All I get is a black screen and the tower sounds with the same set, and *32 meg* shared memory

GL United. Considering the human eye can't tell the difference passed 50-60 FPS you should be fine anyhow. The only advantage to having 120FPS or whatever is..... Well its just s'damn cool.

No Rasker, I cant get AHII running on this thing. The best I ever got was a drone sound and 0 FPS in the tower, and that was about beta 4. Of course, everything was also tinted blue so it looked like everything was under water...

That was what I got except the screen was black. I'm envious. Running a graphics tweak prog I'm able to emulate hardware T&L on my other puter running ProSavage onboard chipset and actually run AH2, getting 30+ fps when Im in my chute, about 8 fps in a fighter and about .3-.5 fps when Im in the tower trying to launch.
