Where To Buy A Gun
« on: June 24, 2004, 08:46:09 PM »

I want to find a thompson with that short barrel. I have yet to find a place that sells it. I know it will be extremely pricey, but I want to see if its out there.

you can't buy the full-auto anymore (not from the maker anyway).  but you can order it and have them(para-ordinance) send it through a dealer in your state.

you can get them with a shorter barrel.  the 28sb is a short-barreled version of the 28 with drum mag and forward pistol grip.  the m1sb is the 30rd mag and the forward riffle-type grip.

the m1 only takes 30rd mags.  I'm not sure if the 28 can take either or just the drum.

How would I go about getting them to sell the M1 Thompson (30 round stick) to a dealer in my state (HI)? Im am very anxious to get my hands on one hehe. Any info would be much appreciated. If this could take some time, you can email me at xtrmej@gmail.com. Thanks again!

I'd print out the page and any other contact info from that websight, then take it in to a dealer and ask him to order it.  he should be able to handle it(and hopefully not stick you too hard on his fee), and if not point you to a local dealer who could.

also make sure the m1 is what you're looking for.  it's barrel is about the same length as the 28 but looks shorter because of the grip style.  the M1-sb has the shorter barrle with the same stock type.

just check through the para-ordinence sight and they have all the modles there.

I believe these are semi-autos.  I don't know if they require licenses because of mag capacity in every state or just Cali,  I don't usually buy new guns so I'm not sure what the new laws are, and your states may be completely different.

I didnt even notice the M1 from my other post had a long barrel.  Im getting the short barreled one XJ. The semi will be a whole lot easier to get a hold of and having to register the fact you have a Class 3 weapon kinda sucks.
