i aways thought the fuel factorys should some how link to the field more closely. Currently the maps dont really allow this, as its too easy for 2 bombers to totaly flatten a fuel factory. but it would go along the lines of.......

Factory status : Out put for fields in its zone
0-20% : 25%
21-40% : 50%
41-60% : 75%
61-100% : 100%

Local Fuel (2 or more bunkers?) at each field then adds 50% to this (125% limit), unless it is porked too. Local fuel rebuild time linked to City.....

IE,

if a base has its 2 fuel bunkers killed, but the factory is still at 61-100% or above, it gets 100% fuel

if a base had its 2 fuel bunkers still up, and the factory still at 21-40%, its STILL got 100% due to local bunkers.

of corse there can be more than one factory, or they can be bigger? who knows....

but with the levels i made up, it would be very hard to get the base down under 75%, it would take ALOT of work to get the factory down, and even more work to kill the local fuel bunkers who knows?

problem with this, is its totaly redesigning the game, and im sure its way to difficuit to implement....not to mention the whines......

it would give some purppse to bombers but the only trouble would be the weird positions of strat on the current maps.  Generaly better idea than what is there now.

Overlag I believe that is the best resolution I have heard regarding fuel porking.

1. It would promote teamwork to take out the factorys, delaying the ability to pork fuel.

2.  A lone gunman couldnt pork fuel to 25% in his pony.

3. The front lines would have fuel porked for a shorter time.

4. After it is porked resupply to the factorys would create another battle. Fighters protecting goons to get fuel back.


Wow this could add alot to the game.

also the same could be said for ord....

depending on the damage at the factory, and the local ammo dumps, different bombs could be disabled....ie 1000lbs/500kgs get disabled first, etc etc..would need to strike a balance
