AH2 Installation Problem

Evening all,

I'm having a problem installing AH2 v2.  The install progresses to 18% then just sits there while copying stress.wav.  After a few minutes a windows message pops up that I am running out of disk space.  An interesting situation as I had 8 gig free before installation!

At this point if I control-alt-del it states the program is not responding.

Info that may assist : WindowsXP, Directx 9b.  I had disabled Zone Alarm and my virus scanner before installation started.

As I am on dial up the idea of re-downloading is not good.

Anyone seen anything like this before that could help?

Dial Up. Thats probably your problem but I'm not sure. You probably have a bad connection or something. I know you don' want to, but try and DL tommarow unless Skuzzy pops in and gives you the details. GL bud!

Windows reserves a percentage of disk space for itself and if your free space gets close to that value Windows will issue the warning about running out of free space.
Your only option is to free up more disk space in the advent that you get that message.

I assume you had downloaded and saved the installation file for Aces High II to your hard disk and are not attempting to open the file from its remote location as this will not work.

The file was downloaded using Download Accelerator, which recorded a successful download.

I know windows uses disk space for its operations, but I had 8 gig free before installation started.  I can't believe the AH2 installation requires that level of system resources.

I'll try to clear up more disk space tomorrow and try again.  I'll let you know how it goes.  Last resort I'll download version 3.

Aces High II only occupies about 380MB when fully installed (includes skins, settings and so on).

However, Windows reserves a lot of disk space for itself, which is why you are getting that message.
