who was that R&B artist in the mid '80s that had the hair off to the side with a blonde streak, and work polka-dot suits?

it's not morris day, but me and a guy @ work are both trying to figure out who he was.

no no...

some obscure 1 hit wonder guy, maybe 2 hits LOL.

the hair was like gumby's but with a blonde streak in it.

kinda like kid-n-play's guy, but this dude was a single singer, and more "flashy" kind of like morris day.

man this is going to bug me all fluff'n day LOL

Bootsy Collins perhaps or George Clinton?

Bootsy was more into R&B earlier in his career I believe but Clinton was more into p-funk.  Both were/are pretty unique and inidivual and might have done what you have described.

naw, it he was like right before ganster rap came out. like a pre-cursor to mc hammer. (about the same time they both came out)


in fact i think 3rd base made fun of him like mc hammer too.
