HT, Pyro, Radio Ch Variable Idea

First I think moving Ch from a default wasa good idea. Mainly because it just doesn't represent the game well, but it does represent moronic ramblings, much more then I remember in AW.

The whines, most every whine about it seems rediculous to me. What ever is so upsetting about typing 200 is beyond me.

But I do have an idea, that I'm sure someone thought about in HTC before.

Just put a 5-7 space text box in the clipboard settings where a person can type the radio channel they prefer to start as default and store it in a variable. When they start the game it auto goes to the channel they set. Maybe put a 30 day time limit at which time when they start the game on the 30th day a pop-up note gives the 30 day warning and ask they would like to change the Default Radio Ch. This would help in people who set it not become stagnet to one ch. Much like WinXP passwords.

*I* would think this would alleviate 90% of the aimless sniveling So that players can consintrate on sniveling about things that make a little more sense to be whinning about.

Then again, if Ch. 1 is the main whine, then I must say, there must not be much to whine about in AH2. ;-)

Actually, 200 - or whatever their chosen channel is - only needs to be typed in once, and it stays there until they change it to something else days/weeks/months or years later.  :)

Well DAMMMMMMM! That''s what I get for being outside the loop.

Now the sniveling is even more rediculous to me. Thanks for the good laugh/correction Flos.

BTW,..... nice seeing you on a game board, along with a few others, it feels like,.......home. ;-)

My PIII450 won't pull the weight properly, so the sidelines is where I am for now.  SO I work on the new AHTH site until then ;-)

Yeah, nice seeing you here too..... and a few others who have been posting here recently.  I've now been playing AH as long as I played AW before it, and it's great to see so many former AWrs here now.  :)

I presume you will have tried the usual things like upgrading video cards/drivers etc?  Hope you make it into AH2 eventually and until then keep up the good work with the AHTH site.  :aok  ;)

I'll make it. I'm desiging a new system now. Just keeping track of hardware issues, vid cards and MB configurations.

Chances are I won't be in until Fall. That's when the $concert season$ really kicks in for me. It used to be summer, but now that I'm basically a venue guy, it's the opposite now. Which makes X-mas much more liveable. ;-)

I may be in before, but I'll be lurking here until then.

So far my machine is going to be a Pentium/ATI rig. Unless nVidia impresses me with their new stuff.

That would have been a great idea FT_Animal. I for one liked ch1, I could communicate will all my friends quite easily, it was just for rants and whines hehe. Anyhow once things simmer down ch 200 will be just as good.
