AH Political Poll
« on: June 26, 2004, 09:34:53 AM »
In another thread Nilsen made the statement that there seemed to be more conservatives in AH than liberals...that is, if one went by opinions exhibited on the bbs.

I have to admit, I never thought about it.  It always seemed to me that there were large numbers of people of both major politcal persuasions posting in here.

However, I got to thinking, if the vote for president were to be held today, right now, this very minute...how would my compatriots in AH vote?  Bush or Kerry?  What would the results indicate about the type of person who plays a virtual wargame?  Do they tend to be more conservative...or liberal...or neither?

This unofficial poll is the result.  Post your preferences here...and please keep comments civil and to a minimum.  Please vote ONLY ONCET!  Also post major party memberships or affiliations...or lack thereof.

On your mark...get set...BANG!

Methinks that thou art not taking this seriously. Fie upon thee, thou louse-ridden, un-washed, buffoonish knave.

May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits!

Bush.............I have no political affiliations.

Many would like for the upcoming election to be all about just getting rid of Bush. Unfortunately for them (and maybe all of us) the Democrats have failed to select a viable candidate. I mean really, all they can do is bash Bush when Kerry's record proves he is not a leader and has no vision. Kerry.

I'd seen enough of Bush while he had Austin hijacked. I'm willing to give someone else a chance. Bush can run again in '08 if he wants.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Third party.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

I had a pollster interview me just a week ago.

She asked, "If the presidential election were held today, and you were not going to cast a vote for or against one of the major party candidates, which of the following candidates (of those not listed) would you be less disinclined to vote against?"

I replied undecided.

If everyone can vote id say Kerry, if only for lack of alternatives.

Im "allowed" to get drunk tonight, so you will most likley hear alot more from me today on the subject :D

-edit- thx ra, ill give you all free DSL and AH accounts if I win :)
